Hi Linda et al.

I’l be there in person – I’ll need to step out for the WFS and Architecture meetings, espcially as I’ll have just finished the OS sponsored OGC API Hackathon (which I can also report back from in SDWIG).

I’d also like to update the group on some work that we and other data publishers in Great Britain have been doing around Data Discoverability, which links back to various best practices (suggest we link that in with the proposed implementation report topic)

Best Regards,
Michael

Good question!

Interesting meetings @ OGC Leuven:
SWG - standards working group, you have to be a member of that group or sign an observer agreement to get in
DWG - domain working group, open
Monday

  * 4:30 - 06:00PM WFS Standards working group (SWG), where WFS 3.0 (which complies with the SDWBP) is discussed, but it overlaps with our meeting
Tuesday

  * 01:00-02:30PM Observations & Measurements (O&M) revision session. They are kicking off discussion on a new version of O&M, one of the topics is aligning it with SSN.
  * 02:45-04:15PM Moving features SWG might be interesting in relation to WebVMT
  * 02:45-04:15PM Architecture Domain working group (DWG), discussing things related to APIs etc. I will give a presentation there about Dutch experiments with WFS 3.0.
Wednesday - a lot of things that could be interesting, but nothing especially closely related to SDWIG.
Thursday

  * 08:00-08:50AM GeoSemantics DWG, focussing on requirements for a new GeoSPARQL version and/or a Spatial Ontology
  * 08:55-09:45AM Geopose ad hoc, a new group proposing to work on a positioning requirement related to AR / immersive web. Hi Linda

I plan to be there both afternoons - and after a prolonged lull in progress on the Stats on the Web work, will make sure I pick that up again so we have something to report and a plan for useful discussions at the meetings.

By the way, do you know if there are related things in the OGC programme for the week that it might make sense for us to attend? (I see the programme details are available at http://ogcmeet.org/<https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fogcmeet.org%2F&data=02%7C01%7Cmichael.gordon%40os.uk%7Cd0ba577b680a461dd1f508d6e3ffad3a%7C7988742dc5434b9a87a910a7b354d289%7C0%7C0%7C636947084601459551&sdata=0qmU8Ezvhzv06kOr0lNn0ayl%2BKnWWpdOsqRGqpdagMY%3D&reserved=0>)

Thanks

Bill

Hi all,

The next F2F meeting of the Spatial Data on the Web Interest Group is coming up – In Leuven, Belgium on the afternoons of 24th and 25th of June.

Let us know if you are planning to attend (remotely attending is also possible)

Also, please provide us with input for the agenda – are there more topics you want to discuss besides the ones listed below (or ones we should drop)? Are the people interested in a topic available both afternoons or only for part of the time? I have not arranged the topics on the agenda yet, since I don’t know if everybody will be available both afternoons.

Finally… let me sneak in a reminder that next week is a focus week, a perfect chance to get some work done and show off in Leuven!

Monday June 24th (all times in CEST)
13:00 – 18:00

Tuesday June 25th
13:00 – 18:00

Possible topics include:
- Intro by chairs
- Lifetime of the group (as it is now, the group will close by the end of 2019)
- Review of strategy funnel [1]
- Statistical data on the Web
- Spatial data on the Web BP implementation reports
- OWL Time issues / amendments
- SSN issues / extensions
- MapML update
- GeoSPARQL – Spatial ontology update
- Coverage JSON
- Geospatial Web Roadmap
- Spatial ontology / GeoSPARQL: update on work starting in OGC GeoSemantics DWG
