RE: Yes/no meeting at TPAC

Hi Linda,

I will be at TPAC for the Maps for HTML Community group meeting.   If the SDWIG is not completely cancelled, I will be present.  It would be a shame to miss the opportunity to meet, especially given that TPAC only occurs once per year.

Based on the responses so far, it seems like a no.

We’ll wait for more responses (or arguments in favour of meeting) until  19th of July.

Unless we hear otherwise by then, we’ll cancel the meeting.

Sorry, I wasn’t planning on it given ISWC and other similar events are so close in time although there is a tiny chance I’ll go due to Dataset Exchange WG work. Will know in a week or so.

Dear group,

As to the SDWIG meeting face to face at TPAC (in Fukuoka, Japan 16-20 September 2019, see https://www.w3.org/2019/09/TPAC/ ), we are currently evaluating whether or not it's a good idea to have a meeting there. Although both Jeremy and I might go in any case because we're AC representatives for our organizations, all but one of the other group members we spoke to so far (those that were at the OGC meeting last week) indicated that they are not planning to travel to Japan for TPAC, as it's not a short/easy/cheap trip. If most of the group members are not going there, it does not really make sense to organize a f2f meeting there... On the other hand, it is the best place to profit from the larger W3C community of which we are part.

Currently, we ARE in the schedule for Monday/Tuesday of TPAC week, but we are re-evaluating this.

Please could all of you let us know asap if you would attend a SDWIG face to face meeting at TPAC 2019 in Fukuoka?
I want to hear both the 'yes' and the 'no' answers!
