WebVMT Status Update

1. Progress Made

    i. Completed media metadata web search analysis for OGC TC meetings [1] in Leuven, 24-25 June 2019, and raised issue #1130 [2].
    ii. Participated in Media Timed Event TF telecon [3] on 17 June 2019 to discuss proposed WICG DataCue [4] design issues, and in follow up telecon on 19 June 2019 to discuss technical details.
    iii. Presented WebVMT progress update to Emergency & Disaster Monitoring/Law Enforcement & Public Safety [5], Unmanned Systems [6] and Defence & Intelligence [7] Domain Working Groups at OGC TC [1] in Leuven, 24-26 June 2019.
    iv. Proposed and chaired a breakout discussion on video search with location [2] in Spatial Data on the Web meeting [8] at OGC TC [1] in Leuven, 25 June 2019.
    v. Presented WebVMT introduction to Moving Features Standard Working Group [9] at OGC TC [1] in Leuven, 25 June 2019.
    vi. Filmed and previewed a new WebVMT demo [10] at OGC TC [1] on location in Leuven, Belgium on 26 June 2019.

2. Next Steps

    i. Summarise conclusions from Spatial Data on the Web breakout discussion [2] and plan follow up actions.
    ii. Test and release Android app.
    iii. Publish WebVMT Leuven demo on website [11].
    iv. Continue community outreach and identify more activities to promote progress towards the standardisation track.
