As promised in the SDWIG telecon on 16th January, I’ve now had time to review the OGC Web API guidelines [1] and can report that they're clear and sensible. However, I can’t provide any feedback with respect to the Javascript library client API I’m currently designing for WebVMT, as the guidelines are specifically aimed at an HTTP server API and its syntax. Apologies.

I may be able to provide more comments in the future when the proposed WebVMT search experiment work [2, 3] progresses in OGC Ideas.
