Inaugural teleconference of Spatial Data on the Web Interest Group, 19:00UTC, Wed 25 October 2017

Hello SDWIGers!


Today is a momentus day. Yes, it's the inaugural teleconference for
the *Spatial
Data on the Web Interest Group *[1].


Given that it is our first meeting- let's start with a nice simple agenda:


0. Preamble. (scribe, patent policy etc.)

1. Introductions. (who are you - be prepared to say why you are giving up
your time to participate in this group!)

2. What is an Interest Group [2]?

3. W3C and OGC bravely work together again. (What is a JWOC?)

4. SDW-IG Charter [3]:

4.1 Scope & timescales

4.2 Deliverables (Which deliverables are you motivated to work on?)

5. Face-to-face meeting

6. SDW-IG activity at TPAC

7. Logistics and stuff. (Wiki, Github repo [4] / gh-pages [5], mailing list
[6] etc.)

8. Next meeting. (Regular teleconference schedule?)

9. Any other business



We're scheduled for an hour.


So- Linda and I (your chairs) look forward to you joining us in just over 5
hours. Details of how to connect via WebEx are included below (thank you
François for organising!). Also, as per W3C culture, we'll be running in
