Onderwerp: GeoSPARQL 1.1 published

Dear SDWWG,

GeoSPARQL 1.1 is now officially published https://docs.ogc.org/is/22-047r1/22-047r1.html and announced at https://www.ogc.org/standards/.

We would love to ensure that your WG is deriving maximum benefit from this standard's update, so please contact us is you would like assistance with its use, clarifications or presentations on its content.

The GeoSPARQL SWG is already meeting regarding GeoSPARQL 1.2 & 1.3. 1.2 is for ISO co-adoption of 1.1 - scope unchanged - and 1.3 for new things. Please note that co-adoption here will see ISO TC-211 engage with the Semantic Web for the first time for a core standard.

Our emerging scope of work for 1.3 is in the GitHub project tracker https://github.com/orgs/opengeospatial/projects/11 and we welcome any requests.

After this, I will be contacting GeoSPARQL 1.0 implementers to assist them with 1.1 adoption. We were in good contact with some of them during the 1.1 development process and we know some are already working on full 1.1 support.

Cheers, Nick
