Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
Chairs,

The Spatial Data on the Web Working Group Charter [1] is hereby extended
until 30 April 2018.

The Working Group completed its W3C Recommendations in October 2017 [2].
Following a discussion in the Advisory Board on the maintenance of W3C
Recommendations [3] earlier this year, for now, the best approach is to
keep the Working Group open until the W3C Process gets revised to
revising W3C Recommendations even in the case of lack of a Working Group.

As announced in October 2017, the maintenance work is effectively done
within the Spatial Data on the Web Interest Group [4]. As such, the
Working Group is only there to approve corrections that do not add new
features [5] to its Recommendation(s) under this charter extension with
very minor team resources.
