In the last few days, I and others have been doing a careful review of the Data on the Web Best Practices doc which, modulo those reviews, is now close to completion. During that process, I have suggested to those editors that intended outcomes be phrased much more succinctly and directly than they are at present. For example: Rather than: "Complementary data presentations will enable human consumers to have immediate insight into the data by presenting it in ways that are readily understood." I have suggested To provide humans with immediate insight into the data. Applying this approach to BP1 in the SDW-BP doc, rather than Entities (SpatialThings) described in a dataset will each be identified using a globally unique HTTP URI so that a given entity can be unambiguously identified in statements that refer to that entity. I'd have: A given entity can be unambiguously identified across the Web in statements that refer to that entity.
