I'll be in Sapporo. It's not clear whether I'll be able to attend SDW if held there, but I think there are some real benefits in being able to talk to e.g. the people who did the WAI research stuff on accessible way-finding (which I think is an important use case we should be able to enable), people from the geolocation group, hopefully the TAG, and probably others. Even if it isn't in the context of formal meetings, being in the same hallways and being able to schedule a couple of things that get some crossover during the plenary day are vary valuable opportunities. It's not technically insane to actually have formal face to face meetings at both venues, either. Although we should be clear that for many people it isn't financially feasible to attend both, and we would need to actively manage that with attention to e.g. really good minutes being made available fast, remote participation possibiities, etc. cheers Chaals 26.03.2015, 17:38, "Jeremy Tandy" <jeremy.tandy@gmail.com>: > For me Sapporo is best; I have other reasons to be at W3C TPAC too. The idea is that each WG meets for the Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday. On Wednesday we have the plenary. The 2013 plenary agenda [1] gives you an idea of how that day goes (I'm quoting 2013 as last year was abnormal due to 20th anniversary celebrations). >> >> šBasically there's a short talk from TimBL, some general W3C topic stuff, and then a set of unconference style breakouts (if you want to run a session on any Web topic, this is the time and place to do it). >> >> šI must also mention costs.
