Delft glossary action: My failure

Given the problems I have caused by trying to contribute to best practice 5, and that after spending a few hours with GitHub this morning, I can see no way of contributing - I'll have to admit defeat.

In particular, at Delft I took the action "Update Appendix D. Glossary - review, remove the yellow highlight, check definitions & amend as necessary ... see also GitHub Issues 212 and 39"; sorry, I've not been able to do that.

If anyone can explain to me how the check-out / edit / pull request cycle is supposed to work, and can actually work in practice for me, then I may have another window of opportunity towards the end of May. If not, or if that's too late, then do please accept my apologies & find someone else to amend the glossary. I could contribute suggested changes by email, or even in the GitHub discussions. It's just editing index.html itself (without causing pain) that lies beyond my reach.
