Re: Government forms + official documents

I would appreciate a term like LegalDocument. Do you have a timeframe on when it would be ready to be implemented?

One sub-term within it could also be CourtForm or GovernmentForm. This can be especially useful as there can be misleading sites that try to sell free government forms, and it would be useful to surface the authoritative government sites with their forms.

Hi Margaret,

We are currently working in an area close to this, ie Terms of Use and Privacy Notices.
We are not quite ready yet but you can have a glimpse on the project here:

on the extension we are working on here:

And the description is under way here http://www.legicrowd.org/index.php/mark-up-for-terms-of-services-and-privacy-notices/

One of the idea is indeed to propose to add a LegalDocument type to which subtypes can be attached. In our case, these subtypes are PrivacyNotice or TermsofUse.

You can then rely on existing types to decribe the content (ie Organization, Person, Action...).

As said, this is under way and feedback from anyone interested is welcome.

Hi,
As I've been working with legal aid groups + advocacy orgs to mark up their site, I'm wondering how best to mark up the official government forms and other legal documents that are on their site.

These forms are like a
- an official CDC declaration form to fill out and give to your landlord to protect yourself from eviction
- a court document to file or answer a lawsuit
- a USCIS form to fill out to apply for a visa

Has anyone used any mark up strategy to designate an official government document or a legal aid-generated template/form for people to use in a legal setting? This might also be a term that would be a valuable addition under CreativeWork.

Thanks! Best, Margaret
