Introduced as an external extension to Schema.org in July 2014, the
BiblioGraph.net Linked Data vocabulary provided Schema.org compatible terms
as recommended by the Schema Bib Extend W3C Community Group
<https://www.w3.org/community/schemabibex/>. These terms provided extra
capabilities for the description of creative and bibliographic works.

Since that time its purpose has been effectively subsumed into the
bibliographic section of Schema.org vocabulary (bib.schema.org), where the
Community Group continued to focus its efforts.

As development of the BiblioGraph.net vocabulary has ceased, it has now
been marked as deprecated. Conscious that some organisations and
individuals may still reference the vocabulary and its terms in their data,
it made sense to preserve and archive the current state of the vocabulary
and its website.

In cooperation with the vocabulary's main sponsor OCLC <http://oclc.org>, a
static snapshot of the site has been loaded into an open Github repository
<https://github.com/bibliograph/BibloGraph-Frozen> and annotated as to the
deprecated status. The BibloGraph.net DNS configuration has been updated to
now direct to that static site.

In addition the terms have been added where appropriate as equivalent class
or equivalent properties into the Wikidata <http://wikidata.org> dataset.
For those that are interested, this Wikidata Query Service query
lists their mappings.

I would like to acknowledge the help, assistance, and sponsorship of OCLC
in the development of the BiblioGraph.net vocabulary and the efforts in
preserving it in this way.

Any questions or comments please direct them to me.
