RIXML.org working with Schema.org

Hello,

While I work for Quark, my current effort is related to a technical committee that I chair for the RIXML.Org (Investment Research Markup Language) standards group.

We are working toward defining our semantics for embedding in HTML to enable multiple features. The ability to offer rich, semantic search via common search engines and tools -ala Schema.org- is one of the features we would like to support.

We have built samples using our own RDFa semantics, and have been lightly reviewing how the RIXML semantics intersects with Schema.org.

I believe we should initiate a Schema.org Community group for RIXML and develop an Schema.org extension for the Investment Research industry.

Jim (cc'd) is the Chair of RiXML.org, together, we would love to have an introductory conference call with someone at Schema.org to understand the process, value, and next steps.

Best Regards,
David White
