Schema.org adopt Periodical and exampleOfWork proposals

I know things have been a little quiet on SchemaBibEx lately, but I am now pleased to announce that the latest update to Schema.org<http://Schema.org> (1.9) includes some significant elements from our proposals.

The outcome being:

New Classes:

     *   Periodical - plus issn property
     *   PublicationIssue - plus issueNumber property
     *   PublicationVolume - plus volumeNumber

New Properties:

     *   For all the above plus Article
        *   pageStart
        *   pageEnd
        *   pagination
     *   For CreativeWork
        *   partOf
        *   hasPart
        *   workExample
        *   exampleOfWork

There has been a great deal of interaction on the public vocabs list in validating these proposals and harmonising with associated domains such as TV, Radio, and Music Recording. A particular aspect of this was the elevation of position<http://schema.org/position> to a general superproperty of properties such as issueNumber<http://schema.org/issueNumber>, volumeNumber<http://schema.org/volumeNumber>, seasonNumber<http://schema.org/seasonNumber>, and episodeNumber<http://schema.org/episodeNumber>.

These combined proposals I believe to be one of the most significant contributions of our group to the development of Schema.org<http://Schema.org>.  Dan Scott and I were invited to write a guest post on the Schema.org<http://Schema.org> blog to introduce these additions to the wider community.

We need to look to our recipes and guidelines to introduce examples of these.
