Re: Request to Implement Recommendations

Hi Amy,

What you describe sounds all very possible, both on your basic web presence and for sharing resource data from your catalogue(s).

Not sure around the legal issues you mention for joining the mailing list. There is no requirement to join the W3C or similar to take part. All our proposals to Schema.org<http://Schema.org> and our recommendations, deliberations, recipes and guidelines are in the public domain.

Dear SchemaBibEx members:

Hello, I am from Hennepin County Library, a public system of 41 libraries that last year surpassed 15 million check outs, 4 million requests, about 800,000 registered patrons, and nearly 20 million website visits. We are doing some major work on our web presence, including developing our own web catalog with plans to implement semantic markup shortly.

We learned of SchemaBibEx at a recent conference and would love to implement the recommendations from the group. We’re looking for a first phase of integrating schema.org<http://schema.org/> and microformat data, and potentially consuming data in the future.

Please let me know if this is a possibility. We’re working on the legalities of joining a group like this, so we are currently not able to join the mailing list.

Thank you!
