Argh, and as I go to edit the proposal, I see that I had _already_ proposed that Article should have the "periodical" property added to it so that it could link directly to a Periodical, rather than having to be intermediated by an Issuance (which anticipated the cases like arxiv.org that were brought up on today's call as one objection to my proposal of introducing Issuance). We seriously need to do a better job of doing our homework *between* calls, so that we don't waste too much time just getting caught up during the call, or dealing with brand-new concerns that are only brought up during the call (and which therefore typically cannot generate well-researched and considered answers during said call). That's simply not an efficient way of getting work done when calls only happen in one-month intervals. One of the reasons I pulled the Periodical proposal together before the call was to have something concrete to focus on representing what we had previously discussed via email, along with concrete examples of markup - but I accept that the proposal came very late. Had it been earlier, perhaps we could have made more progress on the list and been able to come to agreement during the call. As it stands, I hope we can maintain our focus and wrap up this proposal in time for our next call in early December.
