Are you trying to contribute to schemaorg specifically?  If this is the
case,

It's good to find the corresponding wikidata term, and it's good to check
https://github.com/schemaorg/schemaorg for open tickets.
http://schema.org/docs/howwework.html might also be useful.

I'll check to find more about new contributor docs.  If it doesn't exist, I
think it's a good idea.
