Hi, My name is Miquel Centelle and I'm professor at the Department of Librarianship and Information Sciences at the University of Barcelona, in the areas of information representation and Organization, metadata and law information sources. I'm researcher at the groups "CULTURE AND DIGITAL CONTENT: DOCUMENTARY, POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC ISSUES" < http://bd.ub.edu/grups/ccd> and ADAPTABIT: WORKING GROUP DEVOTED TO DIGITAL ACCESSIBILITY IN TEACHING, RESEARCH AND TEACHING INNOVATION <http://bd.ub.edu/adaptabit/en>. Since 2013, within the context of Adaptabit a project is being conducted to design a workflow for the creation, description, publication and dissemination of learning resources in video media. One of the main goals is applying a metadata schema to describe accessibility and educational aspects of those videos, in order to let the users with disabilities to look for and retrieval them according to their specific needs and expectations. For this purpose, the broader model of Access for All has been taken into account, the metadata schemas LRMI and MPA have been adapted, and the semantic technology of microdata have been leveraged. Durant the following months, we are going to apply this model to the Digital Repository of the University of Barcelona, based on DSpace, and we are going to study the benefits of using microdata for searching and positioning learning resources on the search majors (Google, Yahoo and Bing). The funding institution is the University of Barcelona. Best wishes, Miquel Centelles 2015-12-16 16:59 GMT+01:00 Phil Barker <phil.barker@hw.ac.uk>: > Hello all, and welcome to the W3C schema course extension community > group[1]. Thank you for joining.
