http://linkeddata.github.io/signup/ worked here in both Chromium and Firefox
http://webid.im/signup.html appears to be a (maybe modified?) version of the above
https://gist.github.com/njh/2432427 also worked

maybe if you're willing, press F-12 or somehow open debugging console, and go again

any cookie or JS-blocking may break "local storage" including storage of certificates features

it was added to the cert-pile here. a modal dialog is now required to choose one..

OS-level libraries now manage client-certs on Android and GNOME (and OSX?),

Gnome: cert created in Midori, also became available to Galeon,
Android: cert made in Chrome appeared to Chrome (Beta), and Browser (thin wrapper on com.android.webview.dynamiclib or so). a swipe/passcode was required before OS would store the client-cert

Android also has an opt-in "back up and syndicate among devices" all sorts of private-passwords/keys/wifi-credentials/etc if maybe including x509 certs and your webID. firefox sync does this for user-passwords -https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/sync/ - but not currently certs, should it?
