All,
I stumbled across a nice presentation [1] from LinkedIn which for all
intents and purposes boils down to a Semantic Web of Linked Data
oriented towards economic opportunity. As the presentation states: this
is ultimately about enabling flow of all capital, not a specific kind of
capital.
If you look a little closer at the basis of this entire presentation,
the following should stick out:
1. profile data
2. access to profile data
3. ownership of profile data.
In a RWW where ACLs are the norm, this vision can play out in a much
richer sense i.e., LinkedIn's world view blossoms, but within a global
economic graph where profile owners don't necessarily have to depend
solely on the LinkedIn data space etc..
Anyway, hoping this could be discussed further.
