The W3C RDF Working Group has published a Candidate Recommendataion of Turtle – A Terse RDF Triple Language<http://www.w3.org/TR/2013/CR-turtle-20130219/>. This document defines a textual syntax for RDF called Turtle that allows an RDF graph to be completely written in a compact and natural text form, with abbreviations for common usage patterns and datatypes. Turtle provides levels of compatibility with the existing N-Triples format<http://www.w3.org/TR/rdf-testcases/#ntriples>as well as the triple pattern syntax of the SPARQL <http://www.w3.org/TR/sparql11-query/> W3C Recommendation. http://www.w3.org/blog/SW/2013/02/19/turtle-is-a-w3c-candidate-recommendation/
