Hi, I attended their talk at the W3C Web of Things workshop <http://www.w3.org/2014/02/wot/> (Berlin, June 2014) and it seems we have common goals, yes. However, they do not care about RDF and their main use case deals with streams generated by the activities of users in social networks.
