Re: W3C RSP community Group phone call

Dear all,

sorry for introducing myself only now. I'm Alessandro Margara. Starting from last year, I'm a postdoc at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam [1]. I did my PhD in Politecnico di Milano, working on the definition of a CEP query language [2] and processing engine [3,4]. During my PhD, I also wrote a survey paper on stream and event processing systems [5].
I'm now particularly interested in extending the data model and expressive power of event/stream processing systems and I believe that the lack of consensus and standardisation is currently one of the main limiting factors in this research area.

Best,
Ale

I recently finished my phd on web-scale reasoning, and now I am particularly interested in adding the temporal dimension to the process of reasoning. I welcome this attempt of creating a W3C working group since I believe it is time to seek a larger consensus over the techniques that are emerging from this research area.

We have also worked on SRBench and other benchmarking efforts during the last year, collaborating with other research groups.
