Collaboration Tools announcement question

To the RQTF

Hope all is well with everyone.

I just saw the final CTWAR announcement and just wanted to ask a question of the group: at TPAC we talked about making the options for feedback more evenly weighted, so rather than having a big focus on GitHub and then other options like e-mail more of an afterthought, we'd try to even them up a bit by providing a list of options. When I drafted the e-mail content, I tried to structure it this way by having a bulleted list of options, with the first being GitHub and the second being e-mail. Looking at the version that's been circulated it looks like its reverted back to GitHub being the focus, then in the next paragraph e-mail is an option but it reads to me that e-mail is a lesser option.

As discussed at TPAC< the concern for me is that most people I talk to who want to contribute to W3C have accessibility knowledge but not GitHub knowledge, and when they see a whole paragraph about GitHub they switch off and may not even get to the next paragraph to see that thee is an e-mail option, so thought it would be helpful to represent both GitHub and e-mial s two equally valid ways to contribute feedback as two items in a bulleted list.

Appreciate the messaging for this one is complete, but just wanted to canvas views for future messaging if there is interest to try out what was discussed at TPAC or if the current messaging is considered fine in representing both options. I'll support the groups's decision.

Thanks everyone,
Scott
