I suggest we should also take note of the activities of the Web Machine Learning Working Group. In particular, a W3C Working Draft of their Web Neural Network API specification is available at https://www.w3.org/TR/webnn/ Section 2 lists a range of use cases. From: White, Jason J Sent: Wednesday, 16 March 2022 11:20 To: public-rqtf@w3.org Subject: Documents for review: ethics of AI and machine learning Dear colleagues, As noted at the meeting today, the APA Working Group (and hence this Task Force) has been invited to review the Web Machine Learning Working Group’s Draft Consultation document on the ethics of AI and machine learning. The draft is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1n55liw3cAcrIdMlvRPEAdV1ANWT9QzgOZ6R0pUaSVY4/edit#heading=h.9t2frzz4hzap It is expected to be moved to GitHub and to be developed as a W3C Working Group Note. The aforementioned document adopts the principles set forth in UNESCO’s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence: https://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000380455 We plan to discuss the disability and accessibility-related import of these documents at our Task Force meeting next week. ________________________________ This e-mail and any files transmitted with it may contain privileged or confidential information.
