We discussed this in connection with machine learning systems that can interact with the user interfaces of Web applications. I think it’s a research question for machine learning experts whether the presence of WAI-ARIA, APA Personalization Task Force markup, or other metadata would enhance the effectiveness and generalization of such learning approaches.
