Request for joint meeting during TPAC

Dear W3C Colleagues:

The Accessible Platform Architectures (APA) Working Group would like to
meet jointly with members of Immersive Web during TPAC in Fukuoka.
Unfortunately, our meeting schedules do not overlap, so an actual joint
meeting doesn't appear feasible.

We're hoping a few members of Immersive Web might still be at TPAC and
available for a joint conversation at one time or another during the APA meeting later in the
week. We've provisionally scheduled several  XR related conversations; and we'd be delighted for your members participation in any (or all) of them:

Thursday at 11:00 -- Applicability of AOM[1] to XR [Unconfirmed)

*	Friday from 09:00 until about 10:30 AM: Open XR Discussions

*	Friday at 11:00: Joint meeting with TAG; including relative
*	merits for semantics of WebGL, WASM, and WebGPU (among other
*	topics)

We also have some remaining opportunity to schedule different (or additional) time. Please let us know if that could be helpful.

Bottom line?   We'd appreciate some of your time if you're still at
TPAC.  We have a growing agenda of questions, and that's a sure sign to
us that we need your guidance.

Here's a quick overview of some of our recent XR discussions:

*	A response to your XR Device API review request is in
process.[2] I expect you will have our formal response before TPAC.

*	Our review of your specification was initially assigned to two
*	APA members[3] Their reviews contain several questions and
*	concerns that would benefit from  joint discussion.

*	Furthermore, Our Research Questions Task Force (RQTF) has been
*	diligently investigating the opportunities afforded by XR as well as the
accessibility challenges this emerging technology presents to users who
are persons with disabilities.[4]

We note that the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group's Silver Task
Force also is meeting in Fukuoka and has scoped including accessibility
guidance for XR in future AGWG accessibility standards, so we're also
inviting them.

We are also pleased to note the announced W3C Workshop: " "Inclusive
Design for Immersive Web."[5]

We hope to use all these opportunities to build helpful relationships among our various W3C groups and
get on the same page regarding achieving accessibility in XR.  Fukuoka
seems our best opportunity near term. We hope you will join our
conversations. If you're able to participate, please respond to this
email so we can gain a sense of whom to expect.

Please also feel free to share this invitation with anyone you believe would
be interested in the topic of accessibility in XR.
