VR research synopsis - updated

I've added the example discussed at the meeting and corrected the formatting of the references.

MediaWiki seems to be sensitive to hard line breaks (i.e., CR/LF or LF characters) within list items, treating each new line as ending the list item. Not surprisingly, such line breaks can easily result from copying and pasting references into the document.
