I have made most of the changes requested by Leora, Igor, Stella, David, and Jos -- thanks to all! Some changes that Jos requested are yet to be implemented. Several issues still remain: 1. References to data types and symbol spaces supported by RIF. This is supposed to move to the DTB document, but that document is currently mostly just a shell. In particular, the aforesaid material has not been moved there yet (let alone changed according to the decisions). Since it does not appear likely that DTB will be ready before the end of March, it seems unreasonable to take the datatype stuff out of the FLD/BLD document (making it incomplete). Instead, I added a green note that states that this stuff will be moved to DTB and any outstanding issues will be fixed there. 2. General syntax and semantics of builtins (as opposed to the particulars of each builtin). I have not incorporated it into the document yet. This is probably not on a critical path to a publication of the next draft. The DTB doc, which goes with this, is not yet ready anyway. 3. BNF. The problems have not been fixed. There were three proposals, which we have not discussed. This must be fixed before publication. 4. XML. People were unhappy with the degree of formality with which XML was specified. There is also no XML for FLD. The second issue is not a show-stopper for the publication, but the first depends on how violently people object. --michael
