The addresses are: 33 Maiden Lane New York, NY 10038 and 590 Madison Avenue New York, NY 10022 The former is in the financial (wall street) district, the latter is on the northern side of midtown (57th St.) in Manhattan. I am trying to find out if IBM has a special rate with any hotels. -Chris Christian de Sainte Marie wrote: > > All, > > There are three possible locations for F2F1, all in or close to New-York > city: > - In Hawthorne, where we already had F2F7; > - In New-York City, midtown Manhattan; > - In New-York City, downtown Manhattan (that's around Wall Street). > > The group seemed to prefer NYC to Hawthorne, but we wanted to reconfirm > that preference before finalizing the location, the point being that > there might not be hotel rooms within walking distance in NYC (*) and > that room price are likely to be in the 300$ and above, unless you stay > in Brooklin. > > (*) Well, that depend what you call walking distance, of course, but do > not count too much on finding a room much closer than 3 to 5 blocks. > > Chris will post the exact adresses of the prospective location on the > F2F11 wiki [1] asap. > > Cheers, > > Christian > > [1] http://www.w3.org/2005/rules/wiki/F2F11 > > > -- Dr. Christopher A.
