Please register for the 8th RIF f2f meeting next month in Cambridge at the W3C Tech Plenary: W3C Group Participants, (apologies if you are part of the AC Meeting group and have received a very similar mail earlier on 26 Sep) In a little over a month, the World Wide Web Consortium's first Technical Plenary / Advisory Committee Week [1], TPAC2007, will take place in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. My expectation is that this will be W3C's largest meeting ever, as well as the most interesting. Agenda. * If know you will attend TPAC2007, or are looking for reasons to do so, here is the near-final agenda for the Technical Plenary Day ... -- http://www.w3.org/2007/11/07-TechPlenAgenda.html Tech Plenary Day sessions include topics important to the future of the Web and of W3C: a view of W3C from outside developers and designers, HTML/XHTML, openness of Working Groups, video on the Web, URI-based extensibility, lightning talks (always fun), and a presentation by and discussion with Tim Berners-Lee. Registration. * Closes 19 October... -- http://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/35125/TPAC2007/ Hotel. * Please make reservations very soon ... -- http://www.w3.org/2007/11/TPAC/overview.html#Hotel It is peak autumn season in the New England, and our low hotel room rate will expire at 5pm ET on 3 October (or when the rooms are sold out). Sponsorships. Your sponsorship of TPAC2007 is still very much welcome, and, we believe, a good value for your organization ... -- http://www.w3.org/2007/03/ac-tp07-sponsorship The meeting this year will have much higher public visibility relative to previous years (press, bloggers, etc.). Please check with your marketing department or others to see if this might be a good opportunity. Deadline is 15 Oct. We look forward to seeing you in Cambridge next month.
