FWIW my input is (I believe) the same as Hassan's on the Sort issue. Although none of the use cases in http://www.w3.org/TR/rif-ucr/ explicitly state the execution mechanism for the rules being interchanged, it is IMHO common sense that for at least some of these use cases the execution engine's language will be similar to Java, C#, BPEL etc, which in turn implies there would be an advantage in making RIF compatible with the same Sort used by these types of languages.
