TAG is requesting Wide Review for the Privacy Principles

 From the TAG:
[[
The TAG is pleased to announce the release of the Privacy Principles
document as a draft Note on the W3C Statement track.[1] Late last year,
the TAG recorded consensus on the content of this document - the core
principles.[2] The task force is continuing to adjust wording and make
editorial improvements. The document has already been subject to review
from internal and external stakeholders. We now feel this document is
ready for a formal wide review process, in advance of requesting that
this note be published as a W3C Statement. Accordingly, please have a
read through this document. As you review it, please remember: Section 1
is providing background info, definitions and key concepts; Section 2 is
where the bulk of the privacy principles themselves are defined. Based
on some feedback we received at TPAC last year, we have also annotated
each principle to indicate which "audience" the principle is applicable
to - e.g. browser developers, web authors, spec writers, web developers.
A summary of principles may also be found in Appendix C. I would like
to take the opportunity to once again thank the members of the task
force for their work getting the document to this important milestone.
