The CSS WG has published an updated Working Draft of the CSS Grid Layout Module Level 2: https://www.w3.org/TR/css-grid-2/ This draft contains the “subgrid” feature that was cut from the Level 1 CR last year, along with a few other minor things. At this point there are no further issues open against the subgrid feature, so we're asking for reviewers to conduct their final reviews against the feature. Significant changes are listed at: https://www.w3.org/TR/2018/WD-css-grid-2-20180804/#changes For the next update of this draft, we'll be incorporating the full text of the CSS Grid Level 1 specification along with the spec text for a few small feature requests (which depend on incorporating the L1 prose): - minmax() prioritizing max https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/1102 - auto-placement limited to named lines https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/796 - fr units as min inside minmax() https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/2611 At that point the L2 spec will be feature complete, and we'll start preparing it for CR. Please review the draft, and send any comments to this mailing list, <www-style@w3.org>, prefixed with [css-grid-2] (as I did on this message) or (preferably) file them in the GitHub repository at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues For the CSS WG, ~fantasai
