David - it may be frustrating for *you*, but that's because the discussions we are having are about whether 'content protection' is something the W3C should even be involved in. We do not want to 'address the needs' because we consider them anathema to the goals of the W3C. This is the discussion that never happened before it was declared in scope. This is the discussion that I presume Apple, Netflix et al would rather didn't happen.
