I had the same problem and stopped using the 'vocab' attribute because of that. When always using prefixes (either via the 'prefix' attribute or as defined in the Initial Context [1]), the link types given in the 'rel' attribute shouldn’t (right?) get picked up by RDFa consumers anymore.
