My inbox and Twitter streams just lit up with tweets and e-mails about the Diaspora project. They were covered about a week ago on RWW: http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/diaspora_project_building_the_anti-facebook.php Articles in the NYT tend to have this effect: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/12/nyregion/12about.html It would be healthy for the web community at large to have a discussion with these guys. What they're doing has semantic web and RDFa written all over it. Machines are going to need to communicate with each Diaspora seed server? Either you create an API to do it, or you publish the data via semantic markup (or both). I'll send a ping out - see if they're interested in talking with this community. -- manu -- Manu Sporny (skype: msporny, twitter: manusporny) President/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. blog: Bitmunk 3.2.2 - Good Relations and Ditching Apache+PHP http://blog.digitalbazaar.com/2010/05/06/bitmunk-3-2-2/2/
