Microsoft's documentation certainly says that this selector is supported in IE7+: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc351024(VS. 85).aspx#attributeselectors Though that's not to say that the implementation is bug-free. It may be, for instance, that certain characters in the attribute value (colons, slashes, etc) cause problems.
