Hi all, We've just released several vocabularies we've been working on for the last year or two. These vocabularies are useful to anybody that would like to mark up audio, video or prices. They are meant to be used by the hundreds of audio/video publishing websites and blogs on the web as well as the online web stores for audio/video. The vocabularies are very minimal and re-use a great deal of what's out there already. They are the reflection of work done in a variety of communities across the web (W3C, RDFa TF, Microformats community, Firefox, Songbird, Miro, etc.). They should be viewed as a starting point, not a final vocabulary. Two years of research (and thorough analysis of over 200 large media sites) went into each vocabulary. Here are the vocabulary PURLs: http://purl.org/media/ http://purl.org/media/audio http://purl.org/media/video http://purl.org/commerce/ and the current hosted locations for each PURL: http://digitalbazaar.com/media http://digitalbazaar.com/media/audio http://digitalbazaar.com/media/video http://digitalbazaar.com/commerce All vocabularies have been placed into the public domain in order to remove any hesitance to use or extend them. If those that are interested could look at them and start criticizing design issues, that would be superb. Vocabulary discussion should probably happen on the following mailing list: public-rdfa@w3.org Here's the link to subscribe: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdfa/ -- manu -- Manu Sporny President/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. blog: Bitmunk 3.0 Website Launches http://blog.digitalbazaar.com/2008/07/03/bitmunk-3-website-launches
