FYI: Cleaned up definition for xml literals in rdf

Hi guys,

the exact definition of XMLLiterals, and their syntax, has bitten us in the past. It seems that, in RDF 1.1, this will be cleared up, and this will make things way clearer and simpler for RDF(a) authors as well as machineries like distillers:

http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/rdf/raw-file/default/rdf-concepts/index.html#section-XMLLiteral

My experience with RDFa motivated me to take part in this particular discussion although the real "author" is Richard Cyganiak.

As a different but related issue: there is also a discussion right now to adopt a different datatype called HTMLLiteral, being fairly similar to XMLLiteral, but for HTML5 syntax. This will be a very typical extension to RDFa Core in the HTML5+RDFa document, I guess, when the time comes...

Cheers

Ivan
