Nothing definitive yet, but as the TAG is meeting ftf next week, perhaps it's good to sync up a bit. Regarding HTML widgets and adding RDF without modifying the HEAD, I don't see a way to do that without breaking the "follow your nose" property, but as we have discussed, if RDFa can do it, so can GRDDL; so I have added this to the GRDDL issues list: issue-tx-element: is there a way to push the grddl:transformation attribute down from the document element to individual elements without breaking the chain of authority? http://www.w3.org/2004/01/rdxh/spec#issue-tx-element Whatever the RDFa answer to the "follow your nose" question is, I'll be interested to look at it in the context of a relevant TAG issue: xmlFunctions-34: XML Transformation and composability (e.g., XSLT, XInclude, Encryption) http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/issues.html?type=1#xmlFunctions-34 Hmm... the TAG issues list doesn't seem to cite a recent discussion that was sort of relevant. http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/2006/11/14-tagmem-minutes#item03 That was a discussion of a GRDDL test case that I sent to www-tag for review: follow your nose from XML documents to namespace documents? xmlFunctions-34, nsMediaType-3, RDFinXHTML-35 http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-tag/2006Nov/0086.html The TAG mostly advised that yes, you can follow your nose from XML documents to namespace documents, but I suspect discussion of the XSLT Literal Result case is not done and may have significant impact on the way GRDDL handles XInclude. A few days later, Murray Maloney wrote a pretty good test sketch; I suspect this xmlFunctions/xinclude stuff affects RDFa about as much as it affects GRDDL, so I recommend you take a look: XInclude or Not, that is the question http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-grddl-wg/2006Nov/0127.html That's a lot of pointers... it would probably be best to connect by IRC or phone or in person somehow. I think the SemWeb CG meets this Friday; that's perhaps one opportunity. When does SWD meet? Ah... Tuesdays; so not between now and the TAG meeting. p.s. Ooh... this is a nice summary of the status of the SWD WG. http://www.w3.org/2006/07/SWD/wiki/Deliverables Go Tom go! -- Dan Connolly, W3C http://www.w3.org/People/Connolly/ D3C2 887B 0F92 6005 C541 0875 0F91 96DE 6E52 C29E
