I think the text you've got about it intentionally not being specified is fine. Beyond that, I really have no idea why he says: "The SPARQL 1.1 Service Description spec does define the notion of an sd:DataSet" [sic]. The Service Description document says: """ An instance of sd:Dataset represents a RDF Dataset comprised of a default graph and zero or more named graphs. """ With a link to the definition of "RDF Dataset" in the query document. I'm not sure if that deserves explicitly calling out in the response, but I don't think there needs to be any change in the documents. .greg
