If so, why for Pete's sake? No. The purpose of the skolemization is to rpelace blank nodes by IRIs, because some systems and applications prefer to do so. The well-known/genid meachanism is to allow these blank-node-replacements to be recognized and distinguished from other IRIs. None of this is in any way compulsory or even recommended: it is simply there as a convenience for those who need it. > > And if so, must we really waste storage space by adding .well-known/genid/ to those IRI's? > > Regards, > Hans > > OntoConsult, > Hans Teijgeler, > Laanweg 28, > 1871 BJ Schoorl, > Netherlands > www.15926.org ------------------------------------------------------------ IHMC (850)434 8903 or (650)494 3973 40 South Alcaniz St. (850)202 4416 office Pensacola (850)202 4440 fax FL 32502 (850)291 0667 mobile phayesAT-SIGNihmc.us http://www.ihmc.us/users/phayes
