I've added the following to Concepts: [[ Note: The Web Ontology Language [OWL2-SYNTAX] offers facilities for formally defining custom datatypes that can be used with RDF. Furthermore, a practice for identifying user-defined simple XML Schema datatypes is suggested in [SWBP-XSCH-DATATYPES]. RDF implementations are not required to support either of these facilities. ]] http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/rdf/raw-file/default/rdf-concepts/index.html#note-custom-datatypes This is intended to resolve the concerns raised here: ISSUE-96: XML Schema and OWL2 custom datatypes http://www.w3.org/2011/rdf-wg/track/issues/96 Therefore: PROPOSAL: Close ISSUE-96 as having been addressed by http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/rdf/raw-file/default/rdf-concepts/index.html#note-custom-datatypes Richard and Antoine, would be great to hear if this addresses the concerns you've raised over this. Best, Richard
