Dear All, On Wed, Nov 10, 2010 at 9:30 AM, Eric Prud'hommeaux <eric@w3.org> wrote: > * Juan Sequeda <juanfederico@gmail.com> [2010-11-09 21:34-0600] >> great! thanks! >> >> I'll start going over it and then organizing comments together with marcelo >> and send them to the group. > > excellent. welcome to the indentured servitude known as "editorship". > We just uploaded with Juan a new version of the document: http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/rdb2rdf/directMapping/ These are the main changes in this document: (1) The section about the generation of IRIs (Section 2.2: "Preliminaries: Generating IRIs") appears before the section that explains how the direct mapping works (Section 2.3: "Mapping Rules"). The description of the IRIs generated by the mapping was taken from: http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/rdb2rdf/directGraph/alt but keeping the notation proposed by Eric (for example, we use # instead of / for column IRIs, as proposed by Eric). (2) Section 2.3 ("Mapping Rules") now includes the rule for generating Table Triples. (3) There is a new section called "Additional Examples and Corner Cases" (Section 2.4). The example in Section 2 were grouped in this section (except for the initial example in Section 2.1): 2.4.1 Foreign keys referencing candidate keys 2.4.2 Multi-column keys 2.4.3 Empty (non-existent) primary keys 2.4.4 Referencing tables with empty primary keys This grouping should help the reader to browse through the examples. We also made many minor changes to make this new version of the document consistent. There are some issues in the document that need to be resolved. In particular, we need to decide whether the section about hierarchical tables is going to be included. Please read Section 2 and let us know what do you think about the structure of the section and the pending issues. Thanks! All the best, Marcelo
