4. GOALS & OBJECTIVES:

Specifications language for mapping relational data and relational database schemas into RDF and OWL, tentatively called the RDB2RDF Mapping Language, R2RML:  http://www.w3.org/2009/08/rdb2rdf-charter

4.1 Deliverables (1st phase)
*

Pinning down the scope of mapping support expressible in our target R2RML language
*       Model to support vendor extensions to SQL data types
*       Finalizing the list of serialization format that will be supported
*       Decide on rule engine and RIF support
*       Decide on which OWL subset to be supported
*       Decide on what is needed to support linked data principals
4.2 Schedule (1st phase):

* Review/presentations to some of the existing RDB2RDF implementations by late November/early December, 2009.
* Producing a document sharing the WG position from the above open issues - TBD (say by end of March 2010).
