Dear Semantic Rustaceans,
I proposed a first work item for our community group a few months ago

and I didn't get much feedback on it (thanks to Thomas, though, for his
valuable comments, that helped me refine the proposal). Please express
your criticism or support in the PR thread (even with a simple thumbs up
or thumbs down on the PR).
As I commented at the top: although I wrote some code to give an idea of
what I have in mind, please do not focus on the code itself, but on the
general direction of the work item. When the work item is accepted, then
we can start nitpicking on the code itself.
Also, some people suggested that it may be valuable to organize a call,
to discuss this work item and more generally the future of the CG. I'm
aware that this time of year may not be the most convenient to find a
slot where everyone is available, but we can try, if enough of us think
it is a good idea. Please vote on
