Hi everyone, I worked the last few years for InfAI as a knowledge graph engineer. My first experience with Rust was two years ago when I created an art installation [1] for ibug. It was built from scratch and involved networking, computer vision, embedded electronics, a few thousand LEDs, and a hard deadline. Thanks to Rust, I was fine, and I fell in love. So I made the RDF-Diagram-Framework [2] with Rust, a toolkit for creating, editing, and converting visual RDF graph representations. Then I quit my job to focus fully on Rust. My three reasons why I joined the group: 1. For the RDF-Diagram-Framework, I made an RDF-Diagram specification [3]. I never got around to promoting or upstreaming it. 2. I want to build a language server for Turtle, SPARQL etc. and use this for a markdown wiki with inline SPARQL queries (obsidian-dataview is the inspiration). 3. Looking for Rust gigs. It's a great idea to start this group because I think with its interoperability, Rust is a very good fit for the language-wise fragmented semantic web. Cheers, Gordian [1] https://github.com/GordianDziwis/schatter [2] https://gitlab.com/infai/rdf-diagram-framework [3] https://infai.gitlab.io/rdf-diagram-framework/docs/introduction P.S. Please excuse any breaches of mailing list etiquette - this is my first time participating in one.
