Hi, Thanks for replying. Is it better if I comment/discuss directly on the sourceforge bug? To reply here, I definitely agree with the discussion that it's a narrow interpretation of the spec. However, I'd also add that: * <itunes:image> isn't even a tag mentioned in the spec, so why does it need to conform to enclosure rules, even if those are interpreted narrowly * In the feed, we do have an https url in <image><url>https://media2.wnyc.org/i/0/40/80/1/NoteToSelf_1400X1400.png</url>... though as you mention, it's not complaining about that one, probably due to RSS spec comments saying that RSS 2.0+ allows for https:// schema: http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/rss/rss.html#comments cheers, Schuyler Duveen | Director of Digital Technology New York Public Radio 160 Varick St., New York, NY 10013 T: 646.829.4422 | M: 646.732.8854| F: 646.829.4191 E: sduveen@nypublicradio.org WNYC: WNYC.ORG|93.9 FM|AM 820 WQXR: WQXR.ORG|105.9 FM THE GREENE SPACE: THEGREENESPACE.ORG ________________________________________ From: Karl Dubost [karl@la-grange.net] Sent: Tuesday, August 25, 2015 4:43 AM To: Dominique Hazaël-Massieux Cc: public-qa-dev@w3.org; Schuyler Duveen Subject: Re: https urls for feed validation service should be valid Schuyler, > From: Schuyler Duveen <sduveen@nypublicradio.org> > https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wnyc.org%2Ffeeds%2Fshows%2Fnotetoself%2F > > The first error that comes up complains that our image urls are https instead of http.
