Hi, From http://hades.mn.aptest.com/cgi-bin/voyager-issues/HTML-4.01 it seems the HTML Working Group is making progress on HTML 4.01 issues. I would like to discuss this in our next (2005-02-22) meeting to see whether and how we should coordinate with the Working Group on this. There are several issues that are critical to the Markup Validator that qa-dev participants have filed individually over the years, e.g., changing the SGML declaration to limit generally ignored SGML features http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html-editor/2002OctDec/0023.html and changing the requirement that any use of style / event attributes http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html-editor/2004AprJun/0175.html requires specific HTTP headers (or their meta equivalent) which, if we enforce the requirement, would invalidate lots of existing documents that were declared valid before. regards. -- Björn Höhrmann · mailto:bjoern@hoehrmann.de · http://bjoern.hoehrmann.de Weinh.
